The High Country is host to a variety
of activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. There are
many locally-owned shops for you to peruse, and a large variety of
restaurants where you can rest and refuel from an afternoon of
shopping. Unwind by enjoying an afternoon of golf or fly fishing. Or
relax with a leisurely drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
For the more adventurous at heart, The High Country offers a
multitude of outdoor activities. If it's winter activities you seek,
Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain offer skiing, snowboarding,
cross-country skiing and tubing.
